Yeah, since I make my living as a self-employed IT guy and I clean out PCs infested with viruses and spyware every week, I don't actually recommend turning off UAC. As annoying as the "Do you really want to run that..." prompts are, there is a legitimate purpose behind them.
On the other hand, I can't make the amazing mods that you do, so I'll hold the lecture!
