2nd Patrol, Reporting from U-187, October 1939, west of Ireland, leaving Patrol grid AN19. Utterly horrendous weather, cant see more then 100 metres ahead. Approx 110,000 tons sunk including HMS Hood.
Returning to base as we have only 2 torpedoes left. Going to pass North to avoid mines & destroyers for a peaceful return sail and perhaps some stray merchants for some deck gun practice, weather permitting.
