IMO No. This game was already cracked way before patch 1.3 so i dont see a difference - also people will still go out buying the game not knowing about whats in patch 1.3 (no-cd) until they install the patch, even then they still might not know. Some gamers new to subsim games wont even install the patches or know about them. Hence a mate of mine still plays Silent Hunter 3 version 1.0, to him the game aint broken so no need to fix it.

No again. One game comes to mind that has put out a no-cd was "X2 The Threat" also another - Nexus. I dont think they will see a loss in future sales cause not everyone that plays games is into these nocds/cracks etc., so they wont know about it. eg Some will still put in the dvd after patching it to 1.3 not knowing you dont need it. Im one of them! i didn't even know about the nocd in patch 1.3 until i read it here...
