Been looking forward to this movie coming out for a long while, since Von Richtofen is the subject of many books in my collection. From what I can gather, the treatment of Manfred Von Richthofen in this movie does seem to be fairly genuine, as opposed to the the usual Hollywood 'Gott in Himmel, I am zee Red Baron' type of portrayal he invariably gets insulted with in movies. Actually if you've ever read his autobiography (which admittedly was partly ghost-written), you'll know the guy had quite a cool sense of humour.

Anyway, this upcoming film certainly couldn't be any worse than that recent 'Flyboys' pile of arse, which came across like Beverley Hills 90210 with Biplanes.

Hopefully the actual film music will be sympathetic to the period. It all goes horribly wrong when a WW1 flick has modern music, as anyone who's ever watched Gallipoli will know, a decent movie spoiled by quite possibly the most intrusive and inappropriate soundtrack of all time.
