Greets Everyone,

I did some recon this 4th and thought you might enjoy some photos of the USS Blueback which is on display here in Portland OR. The Blueback is one of the last model Diesel-Electric boats the US had and appeared briefly in the movie Hunt for Red October.

The boat was commissioned in 1951 and served until 1990. The photos show that the boat shares more in common with its WW2 counterparts than its modern nuke cousins. Pay particular attention to the subs TDC

Though its hard to tell, the torpedo room has a Mk. 14, Mk. 27 and a Mk. 48 in its racks.
