Dropped the thing off at about 1 PM today. Hopefully I get a good re-foam without messing up my driver. I have 4 of these that are matched to my cabinet, and I couldn't fathom replacing them. I guess if I'd have to replace them, I'd go after a paper/kevlar design.
Poly speakers are just about as bad/worst you can get so they are defininetly out. Paper has the most natural sound possible, but it warps, which is why kevlar would be injected to make it rigid. All and all though, I won't have to worry about it now. i am worried though. That speaker is practically irreplaceble in my book - i can't buy it anymore I don't think.
They better do a damn good job.
