I did that the other day, misjudged the speed of one of the lead ships in the convoy, fired two fish on a spread, the first one went behind her so I thought damn one missed. The other one smashed into her engine room leaving her dead in the water, DD's were coming towards me pretty smartish so I made for the depths, then out of nowhere "Torpedo impact!" What the hell? External view, a tanker the other side of the convoy had split in two lol...lucky shot! Got the escorts a tad confused thats for sure.
