Loading gamedata into RAM doesn't only mean copying things. It also means unpacking things which is very CPU-intensive, even for a strong CPU. |
yeah I know but this is ridiculous... sh4 goes way faster using the same engine (fixed) so this is another game bug (huge tga files?). Dual core A64 X2, Raid0 on Raptors, 1Gb ram and it still hangs for a second to load something during the game, very annoying especially that this is the only app that has such problems! I really use intensively my comp. We'll see if 2gb ram helps...
