Im sorry to see him go, his memory will always carry on stronger than life in my heart and mind. What he did for the US sub fleet was nothing short of extraordinary. He easily stands out as one of the best, if not the best, certainly one of the most innovative. If there was ever a submariner Mt. Rushmore, he'd have his place up there with Morton and O'Kane...the great submariner warrior trinity.
For all you new submariners or new US submariners, if you havent read up about this guy its time, you dont know what your missing. He ought to have a sub named after him for sure.
