Once I observed a weather change while deck gunning a large merchant.
Before the change the weather was good, no fog or rain, wind speed at 7 m/s.
Started hurling shells at the large freighter.
Then I suddenly noticed a large fog bank appearing at some distance, coming towards me.
Payed no attention to it though.
That was a BIG mistake!
The next thing I remember was that my gunners stopped shelling.
When I ordered them once more to man the deck gun they told me that the weather was too bad.
I checked the weather report which went something like this:
"Light fog, no rain, wind speed 9 m/s, Sir!"
Arrrrggghhh!
So I finally had to waste an eel on that d$&n freighter!
That's my little story concerning weather changes.
So I hope you'll never get into the same situation that I was in.
