Real Fleet Boat and Trigger Maru are two larger mod-packs, have a look at the read-me in each to see what they do.
There are also some great radio and sound mods, they really add to the experience.
Be bothered looking at all the mods
Modders have done some great work with SH4, they really add to the experience and are worth the time installing and trying out.
Be patient with the game, it is going to be a great one.
