In GWX, it is rare to be able to stay near PD while attacking a convoy. General rule is shoot and get deep. Then rinse & repeat.
Try perfecting your approach to the convoy. If you get this bit right, it's entirley possible to attack and withdraw without the escorts even getting a sniff of you.
