I bought the game as soon as it came out, even drove from my home town to San Diego, crossing an international border for a total driving time of about 2 and a half hours just to get my hands on it as soon as I could.
I like well though out sims and I beleived that Ubi could easily deliver on a great game without making much effort: all they had to do was finish some of the half implemented features in SHIII, up the resolution of their bitmaps and tweak the A.I. and scripted events (almost all of which has been demonstrated to be very doable by mods like GWX), put it all in a new theater were you get to be the good guy and SHAZAM!! instant classic for years to come
Well forget it Toto, this aint Kansas anymore and the Wizard of Oz is a complete fraud, nothing but a broken old man without any real magic that hides behind a curtain of smoke and noise.
The game is broken, plain and simple. After two patches it's still unfinished.
I'll not got into any more detail, since it has already been talked about to death. Go visit the bug thread if interested. My advice is to wait until patch 1.3, but don't get your hopes up too much.
