Hi wmes! I was annoyed about that too, so after intensive search I've come up with this solution - works every time.
After you leave the milk cow or friendly dock and is clear of ships and coast, save and exit.
Go into [your documents\silent hunter-folder]\data\cfg
- in
Playersettings.CFG you insert a line with
PatrolArea=CO51
go down into Careers\[your career name-folder]
- in
Patrols_0.CFG you scroll down to last [PATROL XXX] and substitute PatrolArea=NULL with
PatrolArea=CO51
go down into your last patrol-folder
- in
savename.PSC insert a line with
PatrolArea=CO51
- in
savename.CLG (mission order) under
[Log Entry 0] you add to the end of the line
EntryText this:
|Mission Orders: Patrol grid CO51
So line before:
EntryText=Patrol 3|U-83, 23rd/29th Flotilla|Left at: January 9, 1942, 06:09|From: Salamis
And line after:
EntryText=Patrol 3|U-83, 23rd/29th Flotilla|Left at: January 9, 1942, 06:09|From: Salamis|Mission Orders: Patrol grid CO51
Works every time. Please note, that SH3Cmdr do not recognise this... I think it reads from PlayerSettings.CFG which is reset by SH3 - but I only use SH3Cmdr first time I start a new patrol anyway...
Anyway, by doing like above, you'll receive renowns after completing mission and it will show up in Mission Order (F8).
