Back on your original topic, I suppose it depends on whether you think Robert Lazar was a nutter who made a lot of stuff up, or you think he was genuine and had a number done on his records by the Govt to make it look like he was lying. If the latter is true, I guess it probably wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened, but then again, how would we ever know?
I did find it interesting that when Lazar made his claims, it was originally denied that he'd worked at Groom Lake, but then someone turned up an internal phone directory which had his extension listed, so then the official story changed to 'Well, yes alright, he actually DID work there, but he was something very minor'.
On the other hand, the whole thing could be a case of misdirection and deliberate disinformation in order to steer prying eyes away from more mundane secret stuff such as the F-117's development and the Aurora project, both of which were apparently tested at that place as part of Lockheed's 'Skunkworks'.
I do know that they had some MiG 21s and stuff like that there during the Cold War that they'd got hold of by dropping leaflets over Vietnam offering huge amounts of money to any NVAF pilot who'd fly his MiG to Thailand, but that's hardly an Alien Spaceship is it?
I think it's fun to speculate on stuff like that, but the clincher for me is that whenever someone claims to have seen an alien spaceship land and stuff like that, it always seems to be some redneck out in the ass-end of nowhere!
Without wanting to sound like a nutter myself, I have personally seen a couple of things in the sky that I couldn't actually explain, but just because I couldn't explain what they were, that doesn't mean they had little green men sat at the controls.
Actually, most people claim they're grey rather than green anyway, don't they?
The entire subject is all a bit 'tinfoil hat', but there are one or two reasonably credible books on the subject, most notably by Tim Good, who does appear to have some supporters in the UK military who are willing to corroborate at least some of his claims.
Of course I could tell you more, but then I'd have to kill you:rotfl:
