Yeah - I tried that for a while, and it did give me enough real estate on the screen to make room for stuff, but I get better performance/quality mix at 1024x768 with AF/FSAA cranked way up than I do at the higher res with lower AF/FSAA, and it's too much strain on my machine to have both cranked way up - plus, I play a lot on my 100" diagonal screen (projectors are wonderful technology
) and my projector looks/works best at 1024x768 too, so I'm stuck trying to sort this out at that res.
