Let me take a wild guess here, according to all the people who have complained about this in the past. Your sub is an IXD2. If so, it's a well-known bug that's been reported for months, and to my knowledge, there's nothing that remedies it. That's the reason why I don't use the IXD2. I use the VIIC to about mid-1942 or early 1943 then upgrade to an IXC to finish the war/career of that particular kaleun.
