Just head for "task force" when spotted on the map. (Diamond indication rather than usual square that convoys or ships are represented by).
I've only been playing this game a week or so and already found a huge task force - carriers, cruisers, etc.
got right ni the middle of it but weather was so bad couldn't get a solution off
