Yeah not many WWI U boats left and none that I'm aware of in condition to do any filming in.

It's a shame they were a bit lazy but I spose their budget didn't stretch to bulding a mock up. Probably not a huge amount of detailled photos that show the inside of WWI U boats around either but they aren't exactly hidden.
