When I was working as a diving instructor I had the fabulous opportunity to live and work on beautiful Malapascua Island in the Philippines. Just out of curiosity I thought I'd see if they had included it in the SH4 world map. I zoomed in north of Cebu Island and... TA-DA! Not only is tiny and obscure Malapascua represented, it is drawn extremely accurately. I was impressed to say the least.
While on Malapascua I dove on a Japanese ship (supposedly - it was definitely of Asian origin, the head is still visible and it's of the "squat" variety) sunk by a U.S. submarine in WW2. The damage to the ship was incredible with huge sheets of steel twisted and torn like it was paper! While playing SH4 I keep this image in mind and it really helps the immersion factor.
The only thing that takes away from the map perhaps is the giant font on the misspelt Jawa Sea and island. :slaps forehead:
Anyway, Greenland hey? I'd love to go there. Must be one of the only true wildernesses on Earth. What's it like living there?
