Budget releases of SH3 do ship already patched to 1.4b and contain the manual on the disc. It wouldn't surprise me that it doesn't contain Starforce seeing as though Ubisoft dropped it a while ago. And with no Starforce, it wouldn't then surprise me that the DVD would not be needed to run it. |
I had a little bit more luck though, bough the budget edition of SH III in italy, it was published by the most important sports magazine over here (La gazzetta dello sport) and it didn't have starforce, patched up to 1.4 and had the printed manual completely translated in italian (no pdf manual)
all for 9,99 euro.
So after 2 years I finally bough the game.
