Ok I will try to save more frequently. I did some more looking through the forum and found some information that may be relative about bugs within the sub damage system. Somehow it seemed as I recieved damage, it would show itself as repaired and everthing looked fine and operational, but inreality the sub was still operating as if damaged to an extent. According to redwine something to do with bulkheads not registering as repaired thus pushing up crush depth. Eventually my saved career has become worthless as my sub appears to be fine and without damage, but apparently enough has been registered that crush depth has been raised dramatically. If I even attempt to submerge in that saved file I instantly suffer catastrophic damage and plummet to the bottom with massive flooding. I believe I saw a bit of this earlier on a previous career, but nothing to this extent. I saw evidence of this when I got in a brief exchange with a gunboat and was hit with a shell right before the gunboat went down. I looked at the damage, decided it was minimal, saved, then looked again at the damage and it was all gone. I didn't recieve any messages regarding repairs. Hopefully whatever bug I'm experiencing is addressed in a mod or 1.3 Enough rambling from me.
