Have you tried right clicking the 1.4b patch .exe file and then click at "run as administrator" to run it?
It seems as Vista is not giving the patch file write rights as it runs but cannot write the updated files to your Sh3 directory. Running the patch as admin should cure that problem |
well I was having the same problems until I tried this, so far its loaded the 1.4b update and recognised it and its now loading the GWX mod too so fingers crossed this has solved it. who would think something as small as this would stop you from updating game files etc. Im the only admin on my pc as im the only user so you would assume it would auto run as admin but it doesnt so for future reference for vista users right click and run as admin.
