EA holds a controlling interest (a majority of shares) in UBI. There is a reason it is called a "controlling" interest. |
I'm a financial analyst, I know what a "controlling interest" is.
EA currently owns 16% of the outstanding shares, which is more than any other shareholder. That means they can outvote other shareholders on issues, but as far as day to day operations, it's still Ubisoft management and not EA's.
