Its is very good, its not militaristic or anyway propagandist movie. People are scared and cry, like in real life. The battles are very realistic, rare in a war film.. It tells the story of 23th Regiments, 2nd batallion and 4th company, part of the 8th Division, raised from South Ostrobothnia region in Finland. The battles take place in the river Taipale, some of the fiercest fighting in the war took place there. The characters capture very well the Finnish and specially the Southern Ostrobothnian mentality. The dry, black humour is one of them.
You should bookmark this page,
http://www.tali-ihantala.fi/ , its a movie coming to theaters in Independence Day. Could be really good, its about the massive battles of 1944 in the Karelian Isthmus and culminating in the Battle of Tali-Ihantala.
