Sonar heads attached to the ship's keel should also work in the surface, as they array is still underwater, albeit less efficiently. The BalkonGerät for example (Which you can see attached to the front of your sub's keel in external views) should be operational at surface  |
Yep. I have heard the same thing. Still, they can't be of much use in anything less than horrid visibility.
