Thanks. I thought I had stayed more then enough in the area close to the star... but yeah, when I parked on it for a few days it finally turned gray. However, I could still not end my patrol in Brisbane (where I had started from) and there were certainly no messages telling me to change basen at any stage of the patrol.

I first tried Pearl, but no cigar, finally went go Freemantle, where I could end the patrol (in early 1943) - just so I promptly was forced to retire. What a load of crap.
I wont play this game for a while - if wever again. Spent 90 Australian $ for a gae that is worse then SH3.....
