I've noticed this as well from leaving from Wilhelmshaven in '39. Confused the hell out of me until I located my position a few times with CTRL+left click and and added 4 min. per degree from sunrise to 15E.
I believe this is the most necessary mod, in terms of realistic gameplay, since the longer sinking times were implemented.
