Since I have noticed circle convoy mark in SH3, this also questiones realism of the SH3+GWX in this respect.

This icon appears not only when a Sub is escorting a convoy but when a wolfpack is reporting a convoy.
I think it's safe to say, if it was not done in real life then the GWX devs would not have put it in.
