Btw, if you go to Downloads -> Core Files -> " - as a single exe file installer at GameShadow" link you just get to a commercial page on their site, it has nothing to do with sh3 or GWX, also the torrent is dead.

Ok, I think Gameshadow has renamed the orginal file that was GWX 1.0  You indeed have GWX 1.0 installed on your system, you now need to download & install 1.03, which is the newest patch available. |
Did that allready, and the game crashes after loading bar is complete. ill try reinstall it all on a clean copy and update my post here.

I now saw that GWX adds JSGME.exe, and if i launch it i get a list of a few GWX mods on the Inactive side. Should i activate all these or will i be ok with these Deactivated?

Ok installed and updated to 1.03, Got the howling wolf screen with an animated GWX logo, after that i got an loading screen with an sub firing an torpedo and the version number 1.03 in the lower right corner.
In main menu i get some odd profile info in the top left corner:
