But you're right I did see them fairly often in convoys probably spawned as a tanker...it did seem a bit unrealistic, more likely to see T2 and T3s in its place.
While I'm on the subject, it seems that sometimes s-class submarines spawn as the last ship in an outer row of a convoy, normally I'd expect an auxiliary cruiser or something similar, I've seen this happen twice now with different careers, put up some screenies in the screenshot thread too, somehow it just doesn't make sense to see a submarine chugging quietly along as part of a convoy, would this be the same issue?
concerning difficulty sinking whaling factories, 2 torps for 10k+ tons seems a fair deal to me, the last one I sunk was a bad gyroangle ( like 290 or something) magnetic shot at 1500 meters, the ship was coming straight at me and would have crossed my bow real real close, maybe even rammed me,
I fired 2 steamers, 1 went right under her bow, and the whole front end blew up, the ship started sinking immediately leaving a nasty black burning oil-stain.
oh well, back to the hunt, somehow BDU decided to send me and my type VIIc to ET26 which is right outside Freetown
, guess we'll be rowing most of the way
