Great story! Surely some intense minutes!
I was just defeated myself. Found a convoy on radar went on the surface to long. I guessed the Akizukis most have caught me on radar, because I wasn't close enough so they could spot me.. They suddenly rushed towards me, and I dived. The problem was that it was only about 30 metres deep there so i couldn't hide behind a thermal layer or anything. They pinged, DC'd me and I was hit. I understood my only chance would be to surface and try to hit them with my deck gun. But not easy to outgun three veteran Akizukis. I was hit several times. Did not stand a chance. I managed to damage one of the Akuzukis before they destroyed me. Ohh well!
I have to be more cautious about enemy radar i guess. The year was 1944.
Anyone know when the AI will be equipped with radar? I met some Ashoui or wathever they are called. But it didn't seem they were equipped with any radar. Wonder which ships I have to look out for. Anyone knows?
