DO know is that in the fine print on the SH4 box is a "disclaimer" as follows:

Sounds like StarForce all over again to me, like they're installing stuff to mess with your hardware. Hopefully better-behaved than SF but who knows?
Oh well, WTF? At the moment I've actually been able to run SH4 2 times with no complaint about "no disc in the drive". I'll just keep my fingers crossed...
