BFG 7600GS 512mb no CTD since day 1.
After patch 1,2 and many different mods still no ctd.
All I did was defrag and shut down background programs.

Running game cranked to max.

Get back to basics and you won't have so many problems.

BTW have only 3+ years EXP on computer and also built this rig.

Quit trying to reinvent the wheel.
