Freeup resources from needless processes and give them to SH4

Here are a couple of programs that may help you get better performance while running SilentHunter 4:



Process Tamer is a tiny (140k) and super efficient utility for Microsoft Windows XP/2K/NT that runs in your system tray and constantly monitors the cpu usage of other processes. When it sees a process that is overloading your cpu, it reduces the priority of that process temporarily, until its cpu usage returns to a reasonable level.

I use this works great with SH4!!!


Process Lasso is extremely efficient and itself has almost no CPU usage. The core engine, called the Process Governor, is separated from the GUI so that one can completely close the GUI and keep the primary functions of Process Lasso operating. The core engine can even be run as a system service so that it starts before any user is logged in. However, the GUI itself is so optimal that we recommend leaving it running so it can quickly be accessed in times when it is needed.

Have not tried this one but same type of program.

Process Tamer is free/donation ProcessLasso is shareware... from experiance setting the process (SH4.exe) to a higher priority helps bump up the game play
