I have also have had this problem on occasion lately. The things I suspect and will try to correct after having read this thread is to not saving close to shore, disable some of the smaller mods I added recently. Maybe as a last resort I'll test with disabling the GWX combined skin pack (even though I've had no problems with it from the beginning).
