I've tripped over enough praise about the GWX mod in the short time I've been here to believe you; I can see it'd be worth looking into.
I'm on my 39th patrol and it's Nov., '43 and would rather not start over if the saved games are lost in the process, but I'll look into that before committing to a GWX install.

By the way, I finally made it to the West Indies, 8-9 knots all the way, and have enough fuel to have a fairly healthy look-see before I have to head back. My crew & I are praying for some good contacts to make the weeks of tedium worth it
