There was a problem with the terrain and the newer TatukGIS viewer [v. 1.8.7.342], but the corrected Sh3Gen v0.8.2 can be downloaded from:
http://www.global-explorer.de/contentpage_download.html
I have exchanged terrain.gml with a more compatible version in ESRI shapefile format - no other changes were made.
I have tested a few times with the new viewer release, and it worked again (loads faster as well).
