Default Ever have one of them days?

It started off so promising. Well it wasn't a bad patrol anyway but it could have been much better. Embarked on a new career (upgraded to a IX in the last one but just didn't feel right so its on hold) and went back to my VIIB. First patrol Sep 39 and assigned grid AM23. I found 2 large merchants before I was even halfway up the North Sea. Both sank after 1 fish in the bow. Sweet as a nut! Good things to come. Then I find a small merch which takes 2 eels to sink. Then I miss on a med cargo and use another 2 to sink her. My tonnage per torpedo fired is decreasing. I ended up using all but 2 of my fish for 55000 tons before I reached my patrol grid. I then decided to head south to my preferred hunting ground in the Rockall Bank and I find a convoy by pure chance while submerged. Smack bang in front of me is HMS Rodney at 600m range and I only have 2 torps left in my bow tubes I hit her fore and aft of her superstructure but she wouldnt sink. I'm gonna cry into my pillow now
