Three times so far ( 1.2 patch ) I've been about 1/2 to 3/4 ways to my patrol target area and have came across some delicious enemy tonnage useing up all my torps. as soon as I was cleared of all remaining guard dogs ( DD's ) I radioed home ( Fremantle,Australia ) my status which reported my sinkings and also my empty torpedo racks. Not wanting to go to said patrol area again I jusk asked to "End Patrol" when I entered assigned base and had no problem reloading the Sub. All you lose this way is about 200 renown ( or close to that figure? ) for not completing the patrol.
