1. I do not get the date or time either. I thought this odd.
2. Look around the edge of the map. You will see the first set of numbers along the top and the second set on the sides. Run an imaginary line down from the first number and a secondary line from the side. Where they intersect is the location. Usually you will see the red square with tail.
3. No. You must run at 1/3 or slow. It is not a race. save that for ships in sight.
4. No fuel and game over.
