I served on the USS Phoenix (SSN-702) from 1981 - 1984. Was part of the commissioning crew (plankowner) and was homeported in Norfolk, VA. Qualified in submarines in 1983 during our "Around the World" deployment to the Indian Ocean. Stood watches as Officer of the Deck and Engineering Officer of the Watch.
