Erm, this may sound stupid, but why don't you just flip the numbers on the image itsself? The program will flip it right back to the way it should, no?

I'm pretty sure he means that there is only one image, and the program uses it "normal" for bow tubes and the same image "flipped" for stern tubes, so there's no way to keep the numbers from looking flipped/mirrored one way or the other.
BTW - great mod idea but my vote would also be for putting the color coding on the noses rather than the body of the torps (or maybe a combination of the two - i.e., lighter gray bodies for steam/old tech, darker grey/black bodies for electrics/new tech, with maybe one nose color for all low-yield and a second nose color for all high-yield warheads) - also, I would prefer the more muted color schemes - I think you could convey the idea without being quite so "sixties"
