open the following folder
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg

and look for the file called "Main" cfg

open it and locate this section

[TIME COMPRESSION]

RealTime=1
LandProximity=128 <----------------change this value upwards
CriticalDamage=1
CrewEfficiency=1
AirEnemyDetected=1
SoundEffects=
CharacterAnim=4
EnemyDetected=8
RadioReport=8
Particles=8
PrayState=8
HunterState=32
3DRender=32
Maximum=1024

Change it to 1024 or 2048 or whatever your current time compression max is ,
CAUTION THIS REQUIRES CAREFUL NAVIGATION TO AVOID RUNNING AGROUND
