Thanks a lot for the pictures. I was actually looking for those paintings you posted!
Edit:
Radio Oranje is coming along nicely. I have about 14 minutes of music and cabaret along with the original announcements.
1. Announcement "Hier is Radio Oranje"
2. "Op de Grebbeberg" by Jaques v. Tol and Gerald Plato. A song musing the soldiers that fell in the defence of Holland. Doubt it was played on the radio, but I'm a little short on stuff.
3. "De watergeus vaart!" performer unknown, I think it was an in house production. It has a catchy tune. It makes a reference to being on a saturday though, that's too bad but can't be helped for now.
4. "Göbbels liegt (?)" performer unknown, another in house performer I think.
5. "De NSB en de V" yet another in house. It's pretty funny stuff.
Then it loops back to 1.
If anyone knows musicians and other things Radio Nederland/Oranje used to broadcast and where to find them on the web, please let me know! I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about the music being played back then.
