I've been playing with these settings for a couple hours...(all stop sounds like a good idea)
Appearently this skipper wrote the screenplay for the Poseidon Adventure.

this happens if you raise the surface draught and lower the submerged draught
Clearly it will take some experimentation to get them right and it seems the two settings need to be adjusted together, also I noticed when raising the sub higher from the water that the side to side swaying motion was more pronounced, it's possible that other settings like the traverse ect could have pronounced effects as well.
But alas the whole thing is driving me nuts...so I'll leave it to Beery
