No Idea. Though, I get the feeling that those who are steadfast to discredit, or perhaps "debunk" the idea that we are wrecking this planet would not believe anyone, regardless of title or credentials. It's just one of those issues.

Right, Enigma. If you don't like the message, shoot the messenger. Ironically, a longer while ago someone tried to counter my refering to international studies and/or the IPCC by saying that the US has its NASA, and NASA does not find any valid data on that the globe is warmin. Now you give
another link prooving the opposite, and NASA no longer is seen as competent for such issues.
Nice attempt though, August.
"The NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), at Columbia University in New York City, is a laboratory of the Earth Sciences Division of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and a unit of the Columbia University Earth Institute. Research at GISS emphasizes a broad study of global climate change. "
What have you thought where current data on global warming is coming from? People in white overalls running around with thermometers in their hands?

Of course plenty of data is also acchieved from orbital obervation platforms, also known as "satellites".

Just have a look at their headliones and then tell again they don't know nothing.
Also, Hansen is by profession a physicist and expert for planetary atmosphere behavior.

He also was complaining that the government is censoring climate-related data.
