One thing though...it wasn't only the Yamato and Musashi that had the Imperial Emblem mounted on the bow.
I've never seen one on a destroyer but I've seen the chrysanthemum mounted on other battleships and cruisers.
I've not seen definitive proof of one on an aircraft carrier but there are lots of photos showing something which
could be the Imperial Emblem on the bow.
