Easiest solution of them all is to uninstall Daemon Tools, run the game. If it works, download the newest Daemon tools and install it. Now run the game again. It should work.

The latest version of Daemon tools has updated "hiders" against the new Securrom, so it won't be seen and cause any conflict. Of course, if you ARE using a pirated version, then I hope you sink
