Have you heard Johnny Cash's version of this? I'm not a massive fan of NIN but I was really taken with his cover of Hurt; having heard the original grungy version so many times I thought Cash touched on a deeper level of expression with just his voice and an acoustic guitar with piano accompaniment. Good stuff.
